Lots of Changes
Yesterday, January 10, 2023, I sold ten positions to raise cash and made several buys. Please note that the portfolio has not been updated. I'm making significant changes to the way the portfolio organizes our stocks. I should have it published soon; I just wanted to let everyone know that changes are coming soon. All my sells and buys are listed below.
The portfolio is larger this year, with positions in more sectors than we usually hold. Do not feel compelled to duplicate the portfolio. The portfolio represents my favorite companies in these sectors and the areas where I think we'll see meaningful growth. I've also increased the number of income-generating stocks and created a category for positions solely for income. If these income positions also appreciate, then we'll have a win-win. You'll notice that some of the positionsare very small due to how I've set the weighting. I expect the weighting to change over the year.
Last year
Last year was horrible in so many ways. The portfolio held good companies with bad stocks. The portfolio also owned good companies with good stocks. Unfortunately, investor reactions to rising interest rates and inflation just crushed a bunch of our positions. One positive outcome was that the portfolio generated over $14,000 in dividends. In response to several subscribers, this year's portfolio has even more income-generating stocks. I'll have more to say about this later.

Clay's Rules
