Day 224: Omeros Beats Estimates

Mother's Little Helper portfolio was DOWN today -$1,388,.83 (-0.17%). Overall GAIN YTD: +$209,630.50 (+35.90%).

According to CNN Money our benchmark index, the S&P 500 is up +10.55% Year To Date. http://money.cnn.com/data/markets/sandp/

Omeros Corporation reported earnings today and beat estimates by $0.15. OMER is up after hours over 4% or about $1.00/share giving the portfolio a nice boost. If you've had a cataract surgery lately you likely came in contact with Omeros' Omidra product. Omeros Corporation is a bio-pharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, and commercializes small-molecule and protein therapeutics, and orphan indications targeting inflammation, coagulopathies, and disorders of the central nervous system. The company markets OMIDRIA for use during cataract surgery or intraocular lens replacement.

Tomorrow we're hoping to hear results from NetEase, The Children's Place and Mylan.

If you've been shopping for kids clothes lately you might know The Children's Place well, they're one of the few mall based retailers that are doing well. I'm not a big fan of retail stocks but when you shop for kids clothes you usually have to take them to the store and try stuff on and it's nice to go somewhere that isn't also full of games, toys and electronics.

NetEase may not be a familiar name to most people in the U.S. NetEase is one of the few Chinese companies I really like. NetEase has become a major provider of games and other internet based services. With the stock up over 40% YTD and their customer base continually growing it's been an exciting company to follow. NetEase operates in the following businesses:

PC-client & Mobile Games: provider of self-developed online client games to Internet users in China; licensee of games by Blizzard Entertainment; developer & publisher of mobile games.

Internet Media: Operating a network of mobile applications, services and social communication platforms, as well as Internet portals with enriched content.

E-mail Services: One of the providers of free e-mail services in China.

Youdao Products: Specialized online tools including Youdao Dictionary, Youdao Cloudnote and Huihui.cn.

E-commerce: services available to Chinese consumers on both desktop and mobile including Kaola.com, NetEase's self operated cross-border e-commerce platform, online video broadcasting services and insurance products.
